It wasn’t like his forest at home. There were all new sights and sounds here and the prey was so different. Tobias had just caught and eaten a mouse. It really didn’t taste different from the mice back home but then again hawks didn’t have much in the way of taste. Tobias wasn’t part of the Academy itself, partially because he didn’t feel like being in human morph all that time and because he’d function better as a spy for the rest of the Animorphs.
Right now he was just resting though sitting in a tree he’d claimed as his for now and staring out at the woods around him with an intense hawk glare. He knew there was another bird, a falcon, who inhabited these woods but he was far off right now.

Jamie soared upon a thermal, looking down at the world beneath her. The hunger issue was really getting to her; she needed food. Live food. A mouse wouldn't cut it. The falcon body wasn't made for that. She needed another bird, to eat.
((Ignore Jamie for now. Waiting for the LULZ as Nichole says random stuff to Tobias. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD))

Nichole walked through the forest, listening to music. She looked up and squinted through the trees, grinning as she saw a hawk. "Good afternoon," she said to it, walking towards it carefully. "Aren't you a pretty bird?" She grinned. "Of course you are. You know you're a pretty bird, don't you?" She started spinning around a tree, humming the song for a second. "God this day has been horrible...I think I'm going to blow up that whole school. Who wants to help me?" She shook her head. "What am I saying? You're a bird...What could you do, poop on the idiots in my school?"

Tobias spotted a large dark-skinned girl with an iPod walking through the woods. He didn’t move when she approached and started talking to him. At this point he was starting to think the girl was a little off her rocker. Yeah. Definitely. He wanted to reply but he knew better than to do so.

((Yeah, I changed face-claims on everyone. So sue me. ^_^ I like her.))
Nichole sighed. "This place is hell..." she said. "If I didn't have to be here, I'd just up and leave. But no...Dad wants me to come here to try and keep them from getting stronger..." She ran her hands through her hair. "I wonder what would happen if I blew up the school...What do you think?" She laughed. "I'm going crazy...I'm in the forest talking to a bird that doesn't talk back. Next thing you know, a Taxxon is gonna come streaking out of the forest and gobble me up." She paused, her eyes seeming to glaze over slightly. "Mm....wouldn't that be hot...Taxxons ripping flesh from bone..." She let out a contented sigh, then glanced around. "Good thing it's only you and me..."

Nichole wasn't the only one going insane. Lack of hunger tended to make you a bit...loopy. In an odd sort of way. And Nichole was in the area, she noticed, as she suddenly made a huge dive. <WHEEEEEEEEEE~>
She felt like singing, because diving was so awesome...and because she wanted to cling to what humanity she had, even if it was her craziness. <For here, am I sitting in a tin can? Far, above the world. Planet Earth is blue, and there's nothing I can do~>
She spotted the hawk, noticing the red tail. <Oh, hello there, Mr. Red-Tail...nuts.> She began to feel really hungry. The hawk instincts took over, and she dived for the hawk. She still had control of her thought-speech centres...<Sorry, Mr. Red-Tail, but I'm really hungry...you're really pretty and all, but...I'm going to have to eat you now...>

I started to preen as she continued venting to me. Anytime was a good time to clean the feathers.
It all seemed normal until she started talking about “them” getting stronger. At that point I started listening closely to what she said but I still preened to avoid suspicion. Then she started talking about Taxxons. She was involved somehow with the Yeerks—against them of course. Then she started talking about Taxxons eating her lustfully and I started getting disturbed. I was going to comment on how she really didn’t want that to happen—I’d seen it myself firsthand—when I heard loud thoughtspeak in my head that made me flare.
<WHEEEEEEEEEE~>
Was everyone around here freaking mad? I searched for the Andalite or whatever it might be when I noticed a gray blur diving towards me. I didn’t much time to react when it hit me, apologizing in thoughtspeak as it brought me to the ground.
The bird in me knew I was gone. It tore at me with its powerful beak. However I had two things normal birds don’t have. <Stop, please!> I shouted at the other bird and focused on morphing the Andalite form that Ax had given me. Good to be defended in case these people weren’t on our side.

Everything happened so fast. At one point, the bird was pleading with her to stop. But in her mad drive of hunger, Jamie was unstoppable. The Lanner falcon was completely in control of this body, and it wanted that meat - Andalite or otherwise. It started to tear at Tobias' flesh, and then flared back as the bird started changing, turning blue...
Jamie assumed control of her body, and realised. <Oh my god! Holy toledos! I'm so sorry! Please, forgive me! I didn't mean to hurt you!> She was so angry at herself, she forgot to be surprised that it was an Andalite...

Nichole jumped and stumbled back with a yelp. "Ah! Jamie! Don't scare me like--Woah!" She pinwheeled her arms as she tripped over something.
She landed on her butt and looked up to see a very mad skunk. Before she could run, it turned around and sprayed her six times.
"Oh, bullocks! Now I'm going to stink for a bloody week! Thanks a lot, love. And you..." She walked up to stand closer to Tobias and wagged her finger. "You could have given me a bit o' warning. Now I look like a bloody loon, don't I?"
